Pastítsio - Παστίτσιο

Ingredients

Sauce 1:

 

onion

 

minced meat

 

garlic

 

sieved tomatoes

 

salt

  pepper
  oregano
  bayleaf
  Vegeta pikant
  paprika powder
  egg

Sauce 2:

 

oil

 

flour

 

salt

 

pepper

 

nutmeg

 

milk

 

egg

Other:

 

pasta (bucatini, maccheroni)

 

hard cheese (grated)


Preparation

Cook the pasta in saltwater.

Sauce 1:

Stir-fry the onions with (olive) oil. Add the minced meat and fry until it's done.

Add the sieved tomatoes and the spices and cook. Let it cool down a bit.

Sauce 2:

Brown the flour in the oil and don't let it burn. Remove from the stove and add the milk and the spices (it should be like a pudding). Let it cool down a bit.

 

Grease the baking dish with oil.

Put in one layer of pasta and a bit of the hard cheese.

Mix the first sauce with one egg and pour it over the pasta. 

Put the second layer of pasta and cheese.

Mix the second sauce with one egg and pout it again over the pasta.

You can add again some chesse on the top.

Bake at 200°C.
